Principal’s Message

Welcome to SMMIS

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Sir Manasseh Meyer International School. At SMMIS your child will receive a first-class education, in a small and nurturing environment, with internationally trained staff, and outstanding state-of-the-art facilities.

We have engineered and implemented a bespoke curriculum, custom-built to meet the unique needs of our diverse and ambitious community. It combines the best from around the world in service of our diverse student body. In the Primary School, we blend British National Curriculum Literacy and Singapore Maths with the enquiry based International Primary Curriculum (IPC). In the Secondary School, we follow the International Middle Years Programme (IMYC) and offer the Cambridge iGCSE qualifications. Students enjoy creative art lessons, music, drama and Makerspace and the programmes offer a wide variety of enrichment and co-curricular opportunities. We offer a holistic learning experience to enable each and every child to grow into fully rounded, socially responsible human beings. We develop students who have a love for lifelong learning, in a school that inspires excellence. Mandarin and Modern Hebrew are offered as modern foreign languages. With over 30 nationalities and 6 faiths, everyone’s identity is celebrated.

If you would like to find out more about SMMIS please book for a tour with our Admissions Team.

We encourage children to appreciate that they are the ‘masters of their own destiny’ and give them the confidence to develop as individuals. Our unique pedagogic ethos creates a Culture of Thinking and inspires all of our students to have a Growth Mindset and to understand that life is a journey. They are encouraged to grasp opportunities as they arise, and to see mistakes as part of the learning journey.Reflecting the unique pluralism of Singapore we are an internationally diverse community that welcomes students from around the globe. We are committed to interfaith dialogue and throughout the year we celebrate the national, cultural and religious festivals of different communities in Singapore. At SMMIS we believe that, as members of a global community, we each have a role to play in making the world a better place. This is seen as an integral part of life at SMMIS.
