Alberto was in Singapore to compete at the WorldAquatics Championships 2025, and he generously took the time to visit our school community. Known for his excellence in Butterfly and Medley events, Alberto shared his remarkable journey as a professional athlete, from his first strokes as a young swimmer in Italy to standing on the world stage at the Olympic Games.
During his talk, students were given a behind-the-scenes look at life as an elite swimmer. Alberto spoke about the discipline and dedication required to train at the highest level, the importance of nutrition and rest, and the highs and lows of international competition. He also gave our students a glimpse into the unique atmosphere of the Olympic Village, a place where athletes from around the world come together, united by passion, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
The highlight of the visit was when our competitive swim squad joined Alberto for an exclusive masterclass in the pool. Students had the rare opportunity to train alongside him, practise advanced techniques, and even test their speed in friendly races against an Olympian! It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that left our young athletes both inspired and motivated to reach for their own goals.
Alberto’s visit reminded us all that success is not only about talent, but also about grit, resilience, and the courage to pursue big dreams. His words and example encouraged our students to believe in themselves, to push beyond their limits, and to embrace challenges as steppingstones to growth.
We are deeply grateful to Alberto for sharing his time, wisdom, and passion with us. His visit has left a lasting impact on our community, and we look forward to seeing how his inspiration fuels our students, both in the pool and beyond.
